Blues make first capture of the summer
Birmingham City yesterday confirmed that former loanee Robert Tesche will join the club on a Bosman free transfer from Nottingham Forest on July 1. Tesche is the first capture of the summer window, with his capture meaning Blues have now captured two of their targets from last summer – whither now Rob Kiernan?

Time to Prove the Doubters Wrong
It emerged yesterday Diego Fabbrini is set to sign for Middlesbrough on a year-long loan, finally ending the pursuit in the Italian by Blues following his short loan spell at St Andrew’s last season.

Line in the Sand
Gary Rowett has today told www.bcfc.com that he remains hopeful of striking a deal for Watford midfielder Diego Fabbrini, who played on loan at St Andrew’s at the end of last season. He went to on to say that although talks were ongoing there were other players on the list that he would like should the deal for the Italian go through.

Quality not Quantity
Birmingham City are yet to have made any headway (officially at least) in signing any of the loanees that finished last season at St Andrew’s. Sources inside the club point to Rowett being interested in at least three of them – Rob Kiernan, Robert Tesche and Diego Fabbrini – but as of the time of writing nothing has been agreed.

Bolton Preview in Association with EZE Group

Charlton Reflections
Birmingham City finished off their home campaign with a 1-0 win courtesy of Lloyd Dyer’s first goal for the club. Rowett’s charges now lie in 11th place in the table with 60 points following their ninth home win in 16 games under the former Burton manager.
