Takeover
The Great Disappointment
A common theme on Blues-related forums and social media of late has been talk of takeover announcements. With the absolute vacuum of news about a potential takeover due to non-disclosure agreements and such like, rumour has sprung aplenty with talk of potential new owners, bids being accepted and dates of the deal potentially being done.

Relisting Rules and the Sale of Birmingham City
The speculation over the sale of Birmingham City was stepped up a notch on Friday with the news in the Birmingham Mail that Sammy Yu was heading a Chinese consortium interested in buying the club. The report goes on to say that the deal is a long way off as financial checks have to be […]

No to Napoli
Eyebrows have been raised when Serie A club SSC Napoli’s President Antonio De Laurentiis told the media that he would like to buy a club in England and use it as to export the brandname of Naples around Europe. He has already confirmed that he has sounded out former Napoli manager Edoardo Reja to be coach of this hypothetical English club.

The Hokey-Cokey
After months of quiet amidst other speculation, it was reported this morning in the Birmingham Mail that the Italian Consortium behind Gianni Paladini had pulled out from bidding to buy Blues. Naturally, things are never simple at Blues and within four and a half hours of that story being published Gianni Paladini has essentially denied it.

Pannu Interview: What Happens Now?
There has been a lot of comment online about Peter Pannu’s interview with Colin Tattum of the Birmingham Mail and Tom Ross of Free Radio. Whilst I don’t want to go into the ins and outs of the interview I wanted to share my thoughts about where Blues go from here and what I think will happen. As always, these are my thoughts and my thoughts alone – most of it is speculation except where I have cited facts and should be treated as such.
