Blues Fans
A Month Of Stasis
With the month of May drawing to a close I thought I’d take a moment to pause and reflect on the latest chapter of the saga that is Birmingham City.

Forza Blues
Forza Blues held their second meeting last night at the St Andrews Tavern and as someone who in the past has opined on the atmosphere at Blues I went along to see what they had to say.

Jose Mourinho
Ah, the mainstream media. You’ve got to love them when they come out with articles like this one. To think a reporter asked the Special One himself about Chelsea fans chanting his name.

Stand Up For The Blues
The Carling Cup Final at Wembley. The Europa League games. The Carling Cup Quarter final against Villa at St Andrews. All of them memorable occasions, full of atmosphere, of noise and of feeling. And at every one of them, for the entire duration of the matches, I was stood watching. It’s not hard to see why people want a return of the terraces to the football.

Hitting The Bar At Half-Time
I don’t know about you, the reader, but I’m tired of writing articles arguing the toss about financial mismanagement, players leaving and the end of the world at Blues. I thought for this article at least, I’d change the subject somewhat to the idea of half time entertainment.

To buy or not to buy: that is the question
Yesterday I took the plunge and renewed my season ticket for the 2011/12 season. Blues have reported online that season ticket sales are good, and that the figures for renewals are above what they were at this point last season.

Village Turnout
Last night saw the “Big City Event”, aka the End-of-the-season awards for Birmingham City held at the NIA in town. I’ve seen a lot of cynicism online about how the event would pan out; indeed, I myself wondered just how many others would pay for the privilege of watching a bunch of posh nobs quaff champagne whilst the awards were announced – particularly after Sunday’s performance against Fulham.

Supporters Club Forum
Yesterday, Blues held their end-of-season Supporters Club Forum meeting, and I got to attend courtesy of Andy at www.smallheathalliance.com, on the condition I’d act as scribe and take notes for him. As such, I present my report from the meeting:

KRO FC
Got a few spare clicks of your mouse? Then maybe you can help these boys.
Ben Homer, Tony Dunbar, Andy Pendleton, Scott Bowen, James Woolley and Jason Woolley need your help. They’ve entered into a competition to be in the ultimate five a side tournament, and can only win it if you vote for them.

Attendances
Today my attention was caught by this article in the Birmingham Mail about declining football attendances in the West Midlands. It’s not something we as Blues fans didn’t already know about, but I think the question as to why it’s happening is worth asking.
