GAMEDAY – Blackburn Away
Blues travel to Ewood Park tonight looking to build on an encouraging performance and win against Hull City on Friday. Blackburn Rovers Blackburn come into the game in 17th place, nine places and 14 points behind Blues. Their form is patchy; three successive league home wins of late have helped their cause no end but they […]

First Half Subs
Birmingham City slumped to a 4-2 defeat against Blackburn leaving them outside the Championship relegation places on goal difference only. A first half hat-trick from Rudy Gestede along with a deflected effort from Todd Kane gave Rovers a commanding 4-0 lead at the break and while Blues gave the scoreline some respectability by pulling back goals with Nikola Zigic and Demarai Gray it was another sorry afternoon at St Andrew’s.

The Left Side
It’s an important match for Birmingham City tomorrow in the race to beat the drop from the Premiership, against one of their rivals in the relegation fight Blackburn Rovers. Ewood Park has been a tough place for Blues to get points, with Blues not winning there since 1968, suffering five defeats in their last eight trips there. Defeat to Blackburn wouldn’t be the end of the world, but this is a game where Blues should be aiming to win to stay out of the drop zone and maybe force Blackburn into it.
