New Year Round Up and Stats
Birmingham City turned down an offer of £1.5million from fellow Championship outfit Bournemouth for the services of winger Demarai Gray yesterday. Blues are apparently braced for larger offers but the Birmingham Mail reports that they will need to be in excess of the £3.2million received for Nathan Redmond.

BCFC Accounts Analysis
Birmingham City’s newly published accounts show that the club requires £4.4million in working capital in the short term to continue to operate. With the club posting another loss and wages being dangerously close to 100% of turnover last season it could be said that the accounts paint a bleak picture for the club.

Which way to jump
On Saturday I attended the Blues Trust AGM at the Fusion Centre, Digbeth. Although the AGM is (as a Trust board member confirmed to me) a procedural matter and less important than the recent open meeting, there was still a chance to hear what was happening with them.

Birmingham City slipped to another home defeat against Bolton Wanderers yesterday. The Trotters, playing their first game under new manager Neil Lennon took the lead in the first half thanks to a Matt Mills header at a corner and despite missing a penalty held it until the end.

The New PP
Panos Pavlakis met with fans of Birmingham City last week in an informally arranged fans forum designed to build links and to aid communication. This follows the departure from the maangement structure of BCFC of Peter Pannu, who was less well known for being forthcoming with fans groups.
