Michael Morrison
Forest Reflections
Blues could only away with a point from the City Ground in what was a scrappy game. Jon Toral headed the visitors in front only for Matt Mills to equalise shortly after, heading home David Vaughan’s free kick.

GAMEDAY: Blues v Derby
Birmingham City face Derby County in their second televised clash in a week tonight at St Andrew’s. Last season Derby thumped Blues 4-0 in what still is Gary Rowett’s heaviest defeat as Blues manager and no doubt Rowett will be looking to do better against his former team this season.

In Need of a Defender
Michael Morrison is potentially a doubt for the weekend having been substituted “as a precaution” in the Capital One Cup win over Bristol Rovers. With David Edgar having been loaned out to Sheffield United without a recall clause it potentially leaves Blues with two fit centre-backs – Paul Robinson and Jonathan Spector – for the clash with Burnley at the weekend.

Cover for the sake of it
Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has confirmed that the injury to Michael Morrison may not be as bad as first feared, and although the former Charlton vice-captain will not be able return immediately he should be back in action sooner rather than later.

Defensive Cover
Birmingham City held Sheffield Wednesday to a goalless draw last night as they continued their fine run of league form. However, the point came at a price as defender Michael Morrison was withdrawn halfway through the first half with an ankle problem, leaving Blues short in the centre of defence.
