Positivity Sunday
Birmingham City stretched their unbeaten sequence to six games with a third away win on the spin against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth. It was Blues’ first victory against the Cherries on their home patch in 22 years and completed the best sequence of away results since January 2012 when Blues won four away games on the spin (Millwall, Wolves in the FA Cup, Sheffield United in the FA Cup and Leeds United).

Stuck with King
Marlon King played ninety minutes as a side of youngsters and trialists lost 4-2 to a Wolves development squad at the Wolves training ground on Tuesday. Despite taking the lead 2-0 via an own goal and a Lovenkrands effort, Blues couldn’t hold on and were pegged back to 2-2 by half time.

Dealing With a Lack of Movement
The Birmingham Mail reported yesterday that Blues have started fielding calls about players for transfer from the club – from prized assets like Curtis Davies and Nathan Redmond to players who have been made available for free like Marlon King. Although there has been no movement yet it was said that movement was expected closer to the start of July when the transfer window properly opens up.

Four More to Go?
It was reported today in the Birmingham Mail Blues have made Marlon King, Darren Ambrose, Peter Lovenkrands and Hayden Mullins available for free transfer. The quartet have been told that they are free to find another club for the new season as Blues look to slash their wage bill further.
