Not a Sausage for the Wolves – Match Reflections
Birmingham City derailed Wolverhampton Wanderers promotion bid with a 2-1 victory over their neighbours thanks to goals from Rob Kiernan and Demarai Gray. Wolves had taken the lead when Benik Afobe scored in the 10th minute after a defensive mixup but a vintage performance from Blues helped them to secure a big victory.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly – Rotherham Review
Birmingham City beat Rotherham United 2-1 yesterday in match that was not without incident. Goals from Robert Tesche and Clayton Donaldson took Blues into a 2-0 first half lead before Matt Derbyshire pulled one back just after the interval. As games go it was a decent one – Blues really dominated first half and for […]

Blues Reserves in Comfortable Win
Blues u21s ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Ipswich last night in their Professional Development League game. Goals from Reece Brown and Viv Solomon sealed the win for Blues who could and possibly should have won by more. Gavin Gunning, Michael Morrison and Matt Green all returned after injury absences.

Scrapping Against The Terriers: Huddersfield Match Reflections
Birmingham City extended their unbeaten run to a fourth game but it was no classic at St Andrew’s yesterday. A Joe Lolley effort from close range cancelled out David Cotterill’s opener and for much of the game bad passing and poor ball retention cancelled out good play from both sides.

A Cold Night In Coleshill – Birmingham Senior Cup Match Reflections
Birmingham City’s Development Squad won their Birmingham Senior Cup semi-final tie against Coleshill on penalties following a 0-0 draw. A cold night saw both teams draw a blank and it took sudden death spot kicks to seperate the two. Blues will now face West Bromwich Albion or Nuneaton in the Final.

Like Watching Two Lee Clark Teams: Blackpool Match Reflections
Birmingham City ground out a second 1-0 win in five days last night against a Blackpool side that is now all but relegated. An Andrew Shinnie header was all that seperated the two teams in what was a dour encounter.

Blues Buzzing With Victory Over the Bees
Birmingham City returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory over Brentford in an entertaining game at St Andrews. A James Tarkowski own goal was the difference between the two sides and means Blues are now eleven points outside of the relegation slots with twelve games to go.

Middlesbrough Reflections
Birmingham City were denied a win by 10-man Middlesbrough who fought back and equalised Paul Caddis’ penalty with a goal from Chelsea loanee Patrick Bamford. Clayton Donaldson could have won it at the end for Blues but missed with his header condemning Blues to another winless game. Before the game, I’d have happily taken a […]

Millwall Match Reflections
Birrmingham City went down to a poor 1-0 defeat against a Millwall side tonight fighting for its continued Championship status. A 50th minute Alan Dunne header was enough to seperate the two teams in what was a poor contest with few chances and fewer moments of quality.

Hope and Expectation – Norwich match reflections
Birmingham City were held to a goalless draw by Norwich City yesterday in freezing conditions at St Andrews. Shots on target were at a premium as both sides defended stoutly with both Paul Robinson and Jonathan Spector excelling at the back.
