Lions or Pussycats? Millwall Preview
The games are coming thick and fast now and Saturday sees Blues’ third game in seven days as they travel to South London to face Kenny Jackett’s Millwall. Blues are on a bit of a roll having won their last two league games at home and they’ll be hoping to take that form with them to the New Den.

Palace Preview
After the heartbreak of failure to qualify for the Europa League Knockout stages it’s back to the Championship to face Dougie Freedman’s Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. If Blues are to continue their push for the playoffs and beyond this is the sort of game that they will need to get a result from.

Sticking with what we have
One question that has cropped up a bit recently on Often Partisan has been about potential loan signings. With loan season well and truly in full swing there seems to be an expectation from a section of the Blues fanbase that Birmingham City will dip it’s toes into the market and bring in another player or two on a temporary deal. I’m going to be controversial and say that I don’t think Blues need to sign any more loan players.

… and we’re back
Having been away for a week, I’ve got a lot to catch up on Blues wise, and I think it would be unfair to go back over the last seven days and try and blog stuff about things that have happened. Whilst in the rural south-west I felt quite out of the loop Blues wise, and thus I’m going to look to the next week or so instead of recapping.

Benjamin and Glyn; a tale of two goalkeepers.
It took a week or so, but it finally happened – Ben Foster left Birmingham City on a loan deal to our neighbours in Smethwick, and in return we’ve got Welsh-American keeper Glyn Oliver “Boaz” Myhill, a saving in wages and maybe a loan fee. It’s not a transfer that excites; in many fans cases it’s wound them up. What’s curious is that there is no purchase clause in Foster’s loan deal, contrary to some previous reports.
