Bon Voyage, Beausejour
Confirmation broke yesterday evening that Chilean winger Jean Beausejour has left Birmingham City to join Wigan Athletic for an undisclosed fee. The 27 year old Beausejour made a total of fifty six appearances for Birmingham City, scoring five goals in an eighteen month spell for the club. I thought I would take a look back at the stocky midfielder’s time with Blues.

Buzzing for the Hornets? Watford Preview
It’s back to the Championship again after the FA Cup victory in midweek, with Sean Dyche bringing his 18th placed Watford to St Andrews looking to become the first Championship side to win at St Andrews. For Blues however, it’s a chance to keep up their push into the promotion race.

The Magic of The Cup
On Saturday Birmingham City will entertain our canine (or lupine, depending on which you prefer) rivals from Wolverhampton in the FA Cup. It’s an interesting match, because I think it’s one that will give us an idea of what the future month holds.

Palace Preview
After the heartbreak of failure to qualify for the Europa League Knockout stages it’s back to the Championship to face Dougie Freedman’s Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park. If Blues are to continue their push for the playoffs and beyond this is the sort of game that they will need to get a result from.

Hull City Preview
The last week has been a bit of a slog for the Blues and tomorrow sees a third tough away trip in seven days as Birmingham go to the KC Stadium to face Hull City AFC. Despite losing manager Nigel Pearson to Leicester, Hull are still riding fairly high in the Championship table sitting eighth, six places and four points ahead of Blues.
