Fabbrini Deal Almost Done
It may have dragged on a bit the last few days but it finally looks like the deal to bring Italian playmaker Diego Fabbrini to the club may finally be done. The 25-year-old is reported to be undergoing a medical prior to making a permanent move to St Andrews after Middlesbrough signed Gaston Ramirez on loan yesterday.

There was a lot of excitement yesterday online about the possibility of Blues re-signing Italian playmaker Diego Fabbrini. The 25-year-old is currently on loan at Middlesbrough but despite having played in 13 of their opening 18 league fixtures he’s started just once since November 25 with Stewart Downing preferred in the “number 10” position.

Line in the Sand
Gary Rowett has today told www.bcfc.com that he remains hopeful of striking a deal for Watford midfielder Diego Fabbrini, who played on loan at St Andrew’s at the end of last season. He went to on to say that although talks were ongoing there were other players on the list that he would like should the deal for the Italian go through.

Charlton Reflections
Birmingham City finished off their home campaign with a 1-0 win courtesy of Lloyd Dyer’s first goal for the club. Rowett’s charges now lie in 11th place in the table with 60 points following their ninth home win in 16 games under the former Burton manager.
