Two in a Row? Bolton Preview
The third game of the busy festive period sees Lee Clark’s patched up Blues travel to Bolton to face Dougie Freedman’s Bolton Wanderers. Both sides are in the bottom half of the Championship and will be looking for three points to help pull themselves clear.

Revenge of the Teenagers? Barnsley Preview
Blues will be looking to avenge the 5-0 thrashing at St Andrews when they travel to Oakwell today. Keith Hill’s Barnsley side have suffered of late as well and it could well be an interesting scrap as both teams fight to avoid being in the relegation mixer.

Can the Young Blues Stop the Claret Tide? Burnley Preview
Burnley come to St Andrews to kick off a festive campaign that sees Blues play five games in the next fifteen days. Sean Dyche’s side haven’t been in the greatest of form lately and will be looking to change that against an injury-ravaged Birmingham City side.

Tough Draw for Blues Development Squad
A scrambled goal from Papa Bouba Diop rescued a point for Blues Development Squad against Barnsley at the Wast Hills training ground yesterday. Barnsley took the lead late in the first half through Jordan Clark before Diop’s effort on the stroke of half time levelled things up.

The Kids Are Alright
Despite the much-needed win over Middlesbrough on Friday night I can’t help thinking that November has ended a bit of an anticlimax for Blues fans. The long-awaited trial of Carson Yeung is now even more long-awaited after a successful application for adjournment – ensuring he remains in limbo for another five months yet. Coupled with the fact Blues are seemingly no closer to a takeover despite the media posturing of Gianni Paladini and Peter Pannu and all in all November has turned out to be a bit of a damp squib.

Handing it to Hancox
Whilst this has been an unpleasant season in the main because of the results on the pitch there have been a couple of positives – namely the emergence of two talents from the Academy in Will Packwood and Mitch Hancox. Having covered the emergence of the American defender last month I thought I would turn my attention to local boy Mitch Hancox.
