The Board

Divided We Fall

It’s been an interesting twenty-four hours since we signed Paul Caddis. In some ways there has been a seismic shift in fans opinion; from talk of protest, of flags, of adverts in the HK press and the like to discussions of how things are actually okay because the club have stumped up £150,000 for Caddis and potentially might loan a striker or two in the window.

Some Thoughts on Pannu’s Promotion and the Censure

It was a busy day for Birmingham International Holdings yesterday, with announcements that Peter Pannu was to become the new CEO and MD of the company as well as an executive director, along with a preceding announcement that various directors and ex-directors of the company were censured for breaking listing rules in 2009.

Anger and Frustration

Talking Points sponsored by John Hicken Industrial roofing and cladding materials

I think it’s safe to say that the sale of Jordon Mutch has gone down like a lead balloon. Judging by the reaction on here, on Facebook and on Twitter there are some very angry Bluenoses out there – and in fairness, I can’t say I blame them. It’s not been a great month for Blues, has it?

Talking Points sponsored by John Hicken Industrial roofing and cladding materials

Yesterday afternoon the news broke on twitter that the long delayed BIH accounts for the year ending June 2011 would now be released at the end of May, rather than the play-off final deadline mentioned in Peter Pannu’s programme notes for the Blackpool game.

With this in mind, and taking inspiration from the questions the Hong Kong Stock Exchange have asked prior to BIH shares being relisted, I hereby submit my questions to the board that I believe need answering.

Keep Talking

Talking Points sponsored by John Hicken Industrial roofing and cladding materials

Birmingham City released a statement on Wednesday via the matchday programme and bcfc.com from Peter Pannu. The statement was like a “state of the club” address; reflections on the previous year and what’s happening next. Having taken a couple of days to digest it, reflect on it and take other’s viewpoints on it I wanted to offer you my thoughts.

Dear Prudence – Pannu Speaks

Talking Points sponsored by John Hicken Industrial roofing and cladding materials

It started with a tweet from Blues press officer Chris Kershaw promising an extremely positive statement. Peter Pannu has moved to reassure fans that things are ok. After three weeks or so without any news at all, we’ve been graced by two statements in two days. Aren’t we so lucky?

Supporters Trusts – A Way For Fans To Effect Change

Talking Points sponsored by John Hicken Industrial roofing and cladding materials

So, the news broke. Blues are officially in the toilet financially, and whilst administration hasn’t been discussed by the board (and I’m told is not in the equation in the medium term), it’s going to be a bit of a firesale at St Andrews.
