The Golden Apple of Apathy
Forza Blues have come under a lot of criticism on Birmingham City messageboards over their away trip to Yeovil; with claims that they had received ticketing out of normal priority and then the revelation that due to driver error they hadn’t even made the game.

Who Stuck the Ball in the Arsenal Net?

Two years ago today a Nigerian striker by the name of Obafemi Martins set off the waterworks in thousands of Brummies by tucking the ball away into the Arsenal goal after a horrendous mixup between Wojciech Szczesny and Laurent Koscielny to win the Carling Cup for Birmingham City.

Breaking the Vicious Circle

Here’s a question for you, dear reader. If Blues were say in the top six of the Championship rather than the bottom six, do you think Blues fans would be as angry about the current situation as the current trends on social media seem to portray?

Anger and Frustration

Over the last couple of days I’ve seen a lot of anger within the comments on here and on social media towards Peter Pannu, Carson Yeung et al. There has been talk of boycotting the games, of protesting against the board and of trying to do something to force the hand of the club’s owners.

Wrapping Up
Birmingham City launched their annual “Blues Give a Gift” campaign yesterday with a mass “wrapathon” of presents at St Andrews. Fans, staff and players came together to wrap presents donated by the club and local businesses to be given to children in hospital wards in the area.

The Pros and the Antis

Whilst Blues have been trying to get the points on the pitch Peter Pannu is (theoretically anyway) in discussions with interested parties for the sale of BCFC. It’s a weird situation at the moment as Blues are now in the final throes of the Carson Yeung tenure and I wanted to touch upon the whole “pro/anti-board” debate that cropped up in the comments section on this site this week.

Blues Trust AGM

The Birmingham City Supporters Trust will be holding their AGM this weekend prior to the Leicester City game at the South and City College Birmingham’s Fusion Centre in Digbeth. The AGM will present members over the age of 16 a chance to vote on the first elected board and to ask questions of the Trust about its aims and objectives over the next twelve months.

What Can We Do?
One of the common themes of the comments on recent posts about the club has been about what can disaffected fans do to show their dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs at Blues. Whilst I’m not (and would never profess to be) a spokesperson for the fans, I’d like to offer my opinions.

You Ain’t Never Gonna Keep Us Down

It’s been a hard couple of days for Blues fans. Financial worries, managerial worries and (for me at least) the smug grins of our former owners as another team in claret and blue are back in the Premiership have contributed to a fairly crap weekend.

Trophy on the Pitch?

Would you want to see Reading presented with the Championship trophy at St Andrews this weekend? It’s a question that’s doing the rounds of the forums at the moment and it’s one I’ve been thinking about myself.
