Today marks the first anniversary of Carson Yeung being convicted on five counts of money laundering. The former Birmingham International Holdings and Birmingham City President was taken down to Stanley Prison to await sentencing on his case after hearing District Judge Douglas Yau Tak-hong describe him as a “habitual liar”.

Carson Home For Christmas?

Former Birmingham City President Carson Yeung may find himself back at home for Christmas as it was confirmed that a bail hearing has been set next week in the prelude to his appeal.

Carson Appeal Delayed

Carson Yeung was convicted of five counts of money laundering in March 2014 and sentenced to serve six years in jail. While it has been confirmed that he has appealed against his conviction, there has been little word about Carson’s appeal since the conviction – when it is due to happen or if he is to apply for bail pending appeal.

Carson Yeung Files Appeal

Carson Yeung today has officially lodged his appeal against his money laundering conviction. The 54-year-old former Blues supremo was convicted of five counts of money laundering on March 3 and sentenced to six years imprisonment.

Verdict Analysis

With Carson Yeung convicted on five counts of money laundering here in Hong Kong many people are asking what now? As the verdict has now been heard I am no longer bound by reporting restrictions as to commenting on and analysing what was said in court and as such I can try to put together what I think and I know.

Postcards from HK: Delay Some More

Carson Yeung is back in court tomorrow morning to hear the verdict in his long running trial on five counts of money laundering. The verdict hearing, which began on Friday was adjourned until Monday due to the judge needing more time to read the 112 page reasons for verdict document in full to the court.

St Obafemi’s Day

Three years ago today a mixup between Laurent Kosicelny and Wojciech Szczęsny saw Birmingham City striker Obafemi Martins presented with the ball and an open goal to aim at from ten yards to give Birmingham City their first major trophy in a Wembley final. It was a day for us all to celebrate and judging by the amount of tears I saw streaming down grown men’s faces was the realisation of a dream for many.
