Vico Hui
Friday round-up
Whilst we have a brief pause between a hectic run of games, I thought I’d take a look around what is happening and do a brief round up article of news.

Dared to Dream
As I alighted from the bus on the way to the game yesterday, I saw a couple of lads selling blue scarves with “Carson Out” emblazoned on them in bright red writing outside the Royal George pub. I counted four held aloft in the Tilton whilst people were singing about not caring about Carson, so evidently people bought them – but I have to ask a single question – why?

Who is Vico Hui?
One of the things I’ve striven to with this blog is to try and find out about the owners of Birmingham City, to provide a bit of transparency and to give people an idea of just who is who. One person I’ve not really focused on is the chairman of BCFC (and CEO of BIHL), Vico Hui.

BIH Update – more from the Chinese Press

Six Thousand Miles From Home
With the appointments to the board of Ryan Yeung and Peter Pannu, the board of Birmingham City now comprises of people exclusively picked by Carson Yeung to run the club. Right now, it also means the club would be better off holding board meetings in Hong Kong, because nearly all of our board are based out there.

Peter Pannu’s Press Problem
Ever get that feeling of déjà vu? It’s not just a glitch in the matrix; Peter Pannu’s statement of intent with regards to not selling players seems eerily reminscent of something David Sullivan would say.

Ordos
Whilst Blues have been slogging hard on the football pitch, Carson has done it again. As I’ve mentioned before on this blog, he’s been chasing deals within the People’s Republic of China, to expand the “Birmingham” brand name and to bring in more money for the club. This time, it was representatives from the city of Ordos which is in the Inner Mongolia province of China who Carson entertained on a private yacht in Victoria Harbour, Hong Kong.
