Wolverhampton Wanderers
The Cost of Success
It appears the managerial merry go round is just starting up with Mick McCarthy getting the push at Wolves – and to a lesser degree as a result of the FA calling Fabio Capello’s bluff and accepting his resignation. The talk on the Birmingham City messageboards has been that of Chris Hughton being enticed away from the St Andrews hotseat for a bigger, plusher and better paying job elsewhere.

Rivals play reserves? Wolves FA Cup preview
Tomorrow sees the visit of Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup (sponsored by some weak American beer). It’s a strange one this year; despite being a local derby there does seem to be a lot of apathy and I don’t expect either a massive crowd or strong team selections.

The Magic of The Cup
On Saturday Birmingham City will entertain our canine (or lupine, depending on which you prefer) rivals from Wolverhampton in the FA Cup. It’s an interesting match, because I think it’s one that will give us an idea of what the future month holds.

Trapdoor Pt III
I have to open this post by saying that my gut feeling that 36 or 38 points to stay up was probably wrong. The way the results have panned out this weekend have left me feeling that we must beat Fulham now to be secure in our future; whilst defeat may not ultimately cost us heavily I don’t believe we can afford to find out if that is the case.
