Blues Reserves in Comfortable Win

Blues u21s ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Ipswich last night in their Professional Development League game. Goals from Reece Brown and Viv Solomon sealed the win for Blues who could and possibly should have won by more. Gavin Gunning, Michael Morrison and Matt Green all returned after injury absences.

Long term injuries

Birmingham City yesterday confirmed on their website that long term injury absentees Gavin Gunning and Matt Green are well on their road to recovery, swapping trainers for boots and running on the training pitches at Wast Hills. For Matt Green it represents another step forwards following 15 months on the sidelines after injurying his cruciate ligaments in November 2013.

Murphy Injury Blow

Blues have been rocked by a second long-term injury this week with confirmation that David Murphy will be on the sidelines until Christmas due to his problematic knee. He joins Matt Green in the treatment room who will miss the remainder of the campaign after rupturing his anterior cruciate ligament in training three days ago.
