Chris Hughton
Rampant Blues
Nine games unbeaten, five games on the bounce, seven hours and twelve minutes since Blues last conceded a goal and fourteen goals in the last four games. Suffice it to say that right now Blues are on a roll.

Spinning Plates
The funny thing about money is the less you have, the more you talk about it. I know in some eyes it’s tedious – and to be frank, I can almost agree with those people, Blues money worries are getting boring – but I’m going to touch on the subject once more, so please bear with me.

Reasons to be happy
I should imagine this morning will see a few Blues fans a bit worse for wear after a heavy night; it’s not often we score six away from home. I’ve not seen more than ninety seconds of the game – apparently the BBC didn’t think we were worth more than that – so I’m not going to comment on individual performances or such like. However, I did want to talk about the positives that had come out of the game.

Gossip Folks Week Three
We’re just over a week into the transfer window now, and I’m starting to build up some hits on the spreadsheet of transfer rumours regarding Blues players.

Half-term report
Nearly half the season has elapsed now, and I thought it was a good chance to step back, take stock of where Blues are and where they should be; and maybe to discuss where Blues should be come the season’s end.

Much too Much to ask of Mutch?
Despite not having figured in the Blues first team since the 1-0 win over Coventry back on August 13, manager Chris Hughton has confirmed that Jordon Mutch will be in the match day squad for the crunch tie against Maribor tonight at St Andrews. There’s been a bit of a clamour on messageboards for Mutch’s return with central midfield considered the weak link in the Blues team, and I thought I’d discuss it.

Friday News Round-Up
Instead of waffling on about something I’ve already covered a couple of times before, I thought I’d put together a roundup of news from the last few days.

No Cutting Edge – the BCFC v Peterborough review
Here are my reflections on the Birmingham City v Peterborough United game at St Andrews this afternoon.

Goals, Goals, Goals? BCFC v Peterborough preview
Tomorrow sees the return of the Championship to St Andrews with the visit of Peterborough United. It’ll have been three weeks since the last home league game and sixteen days since the thrilling draw against Club Brugge, so I suspect I won’t be the only fan chomping at the bit to watch Blues in action again.

Going Up?
Chris Hughton has confirmed once again today in the newspapers that the target for Birmingham City is promotion from the Championship – which doesn’t look unattainable and has to be said is a remarkable goal for Blues bearing in mind how much crap it seemed we were in over the summer. Is it wrong for me to think however that promotion might not be what BCFC needs right now?
