An impressive start

The first match of Lee Clark’s reign pointed to what could be a very good year for Blues when they played Borussia Mðnchengladbach yesterday. Whilst the draw might have flattered Blues considering the amount of spurned Gladbach chances, the performance was one of a good quality for the first game back after the summer break and showed signs of promise.

Ambrose: The Next Piece In The Blues Jigsaw

Blues wrapped up their fourth signing in five days with the capture of midfielder Darren Ambrose from Crystal Palace for an undisclosed fee. The 28-year-old was entering the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park and has moved to Blues on a two year deal with a further year’s option.

Mulling over Mullins

News broke this evening that Blues were close to signing 33-year-old Portsmouth midfielder Hayden Mullins. The player, who would cost Blues at most a nominal fee has been training with Birmingham City at Wast Hills on Wednesday and seems poised to join the club.
