Goals, Goals, Goals? BCFC v Peterborough preview

Match previews sponsored by EZE Group - Lifestyle Experts

Tomorrow sees the return of the Championship to St Andrews with the visit of Peterborough United. It’ll have been three weeks since the last home league game and sixteen days since the thrilling draw against Club Brugge, so I suspect I won’t be the only fan chomping at the bit to watch Blues in action again.

Don’t close the N’Daw on Guirane

There’s been a bit of talk online about the supposed three players to leave in January, and who they might be but one player I’ve not seen mentioned is Guirane N’Daw. Our Ivorian central midfielder is on loan from Saint-Etienne until January only – and although Blues have the option to keep him for the remainder of the season I wonder if they will.

Can Blues Stop the Seagulls to Make it Seven? Brighton Preview

It’s been some time since we last played Brighton and Hove Albion – sixteen years in fact since the last league meeting – and both sides have gone through some changes in that time. The Seagulls come to Blues having made a decent start to the season under Gus Poyet, and with Blues on fire formwise recently it promises to be a good fixture.

SC Braga – scouting report

This week sees the visit of Braga to St Andrews, and as my knowledge of Portuguese football isn’t that great I thought I’d take a look at how our opponents got on this weekend, with a view to seeing where their strengths and weaknesses are.

Introducing the “new Patrick Vieira”, Guirane N’Daw

When Andy Walker announced that there was to be a new signing yesterday on twitter, I have to admit I expected it to be either an extension to Chris Wood’s loan, or maybe a return of the prodigal Darren Carter to St Andrews. Suffice it to say, when it was announced that Blues had made the loan signing of Guirane N’Daw from St Etienne until January, I was a bit surprised. Partly because I’d heard nothing rumour wise about it, and partly because I’ve never heard of our new Senegalese midfielder.

… and we’re back

Having been away for a week, I’ve got a lot to catch up on Blues wise, and I think it would be unfair to go back over the last seven days and try and blog stuff about things that have happened. Whilst in the rural south-west I felt quite out of the loop Blues wise, and thus I’m going to look to the next week or so instead of recapping.

Letting Go Of Ol’ Faithful Ferguson

So, it would appear the next player through the St Andrews exit door could be 33 year old Scottish midfielder Barry Ferguson. Sky Sports understands that Blackpool have agreed a fee for him, and whilst I’m told Fergie is still with the squad out in Ireland I believe it will only be a matter of time before Peter Pannu is cashing another cheque.
