Kiernan in, Preston Out

Birmingham City have signed former Republic of Ireland u21 defender Rob Kiernan on loan from Wigan Athletic. The 24-year-old has found opportunties limited under Malky Mackay at the DW Stadium and has moved to Blues on an emergency loan which covers the remainder of the season.

Blues Youngsters offered new deals

Birmingham City confirmed yesterday that new deals have been offered to eight second-year scholars. Four will be offered one year professional deals while the other four will be offered third year scholar terms. With Reece Brown and Demarai Gray already signed up it represents 100% retention of the age group.

Birmingham City’s u21 side squeaked a last gasp win over their Leeds United counterparts at Wast Hills today after Eddy Gnahore tucked home trialist Courtney Cameron’s low cross with virtually the last kick of the game.

Blues Academy in FA Youth Cup Win

Blues u18 side progress to the next round of the FA Youth Cup after a highly enjoyable 3-1 win over neighbours West Bromwich Albion. Goals from Deqwon Ebanks, Charlee Adams and Reece Brown saw Blues through as they dominated their near-rivals.

Convincing Win For Blues Reserves in Birmingham Senior Cup

Birmingham City ran out comfortable 4-1 winners over Midland Football Alliance side Continental Star in the Birmingham Senior Cup 2nd round on a cold night in Rushall. Goals from Emmit Delfouneso, Marcel Henry-Francis, Reece Hales and Josh Hawker sealed passage to the quarter-finals whilst Tony Green replied for the home side.
