Sounds of Silence
“Hello darkness, my old friend” sang Simon and Garfunkel – the dark days do appear to have arrived big time as it now appears Hughton will be confirmed as the new Norwich City manager this afternoon. Yet any questions sent the way of the owners in Hong Kong have been met with nothing more than the sounds of silence.

Hughton and Norwich
This time ten years ago Blues were looking forwards to their debut season in the Premier League having beaten Norwich City on penalties in the playoff final. Fast forward to now and it’s Norwich City in the Premier League – and it looks like they’re taking our manager from us.

Summer Jigsaw Falling Into Place
After a few days of feeling a bit glum about things at Blues yesterday cheered me up no end. The dreaded approach came from WBA for Chris Hughton and after Peter Pannu told them it would cost them £2million for his services they decided to look elsewhere. All in all, a good result.

Questions, Questions
With the news that Carson has had his appeal for the partial thawing of his assets dismissed, there have been questions from fans as to what this means for the club.

You Ain’t Never Gonna Keep Us Down
It’s been a hard couple of days for Blues fans. Financial worries, managerial worries and (for me at least) the smug grins of our former owners as another team in claret and blue are back in the Premiership have contributed to a fairly crap weekend.

Time To Go
Yesterday afternoon the news broke on twitter that the long delayed BIH accounts for the year ending June 2011 would now be released at the end of May, rather than the play-off final deadline mentioned in Peter Pannu’s programme notes for the Blackpool game.

A Critical Time
Without wanting to use a dreadful pun, the Chinese whispers following Peter Pannu’s programme notes last week have spread far and wide. Speculation over potential investors, new owners and what might happen to Blues has filled pages on messageboards, forums and various forms of social media.

Statement of Intent – Pannu, Accounts and Investment.
With the playoffs now over for Blues I think it’s now the right time to talk about the financial situation and problems surrounding the club as there is no football left to be distracted. As always, please be aware that I’m not a trained accountant or lawyer; my opinion is solely my opinion and conjecture should not be relied upon.

Returning from Injury
Blues have announced at the press conference held at the Wast Hills training ground yesterday that several players are coming into contention for places in the team after injury. It’s good news for Blues bearing in mind how stripped down the team has been at some times, but should they just be thrown back in?

Keeping Hughton
It’s emerged that the contrary to what most of the London-based media would have had you believing over the last few months, WBA manager Roy Hodgson is likely to take over the England manager job. If that happens, it will mean the Baggies will be on the lookout for a new manager, and Hughton has quickly become a favourite amongst their fans as the man to take over.
