Blues To Bounce Back At The Ricoh? Capital One Cup 2nd Round Preview v Coventry
After the disappointment of the performance on Saturday Blues need to pick themselves up for their trip to the Ricoh Stadium to play Coventry in the second round of the Capital One Cup. Coventry are no strangers to crises either – overdue rent on their ground, a manager sacked after three successive league draws and a financial headache that makes Blues look positively well-run.

Stung By The Hornets – Blues v Watford Match Reflections
Here are my reflections on the game between Blues and Watford at Vicarage Road – albeit from the position of an armchair fan watching on Sky.

Pride, Passion and the Right Mentality
So here we are. The first of two, possibly three games that will govern which division Blues will play in next season and may well decide the future path of the club for the next few years. A lot has been talked about – tactics, players, and momentum to name but three and I don’t really want to rehash that sort of thing again. Instead, I wanted to jot down my thoughts about it all.

A Royally Dead Rubber? Reading Preview
Tomorrow sees the final game of the league campaign proper and it’s Champions Reading who will be entertained at St Andrews. Blues will be looking for a win to try to secure 4th spot but will have a tough game against a team that has forgotten how to lose.

Limping to the Finishing Line; Brighton Preview
Tomorrow sees match number 59 and a chance for Blues to mathematically confirm their playoff place against a Brighton side whose recent unfortunate form has led them to blow their chances of the playoffs.

Player of the Season nominations – Steven Caldwell
I guess this one has to start with an apology. When Blues signed Caldwell back in the summer, I was distinctly underwhelmed. The first time I saw him play (the Hereford friendly), I thought he looked slow, ring-rusty and just not good enough. Over the season though the Scottish centre back has shown the sort of consistency that proves he’s a dependable defender.

Sky High Blues? Coventry Preview
It’s a short journey down the M6 for Blues this weekend for the away trip to local rivals Coventry City, in the Championship early kick off of the day. With the cup competitions now done for Blues this year, it’s all about the league – can Blues re-start their bid for promotion with a win over the Sky Blues?

In for a Hiding? Chelsea FA Cup Replay Preview
After Saturday’s disappointing draw with Derby County, Birmingham City have to raise their game for the visit of a Chelsea side that is in turmoil and maybe ready to show the world that the sacking of Villas-Boas was the right move by Abramovich.
