Liam Ridgewell
Unhappy Bunnies
Having told us a little while back we’d definitely have to sell him, James Nursey reported in the Mirror on Monday night that there were clubs interested in Liam Ridgewell. Predictably, this has caused a bit of discussion here and there and I thought I’d talk about it today.

Foxes come to St Andrews
Ye Gods and little children, football at St Andrews this weekend. It feels like an absolute age since our last game at home – well, three weeks is a long time I guess. And yet I have this massive feeling it’s going to be an anti-climax with so many fans looking forward to the trip to Brugge in midweek. However, Sven is coming to town and thus I present my Leicester preview.

Further Player Sales?
It’s a three sentence story in the Mirror, it’s by James Nursey and it’s about how Blues are going to have to sell players again. Yes, despite there being some twelve and half weeks until the new transfer window opens, the bad vibes have started again. Is it because it’s the international break and thus a slow news week, or is it really time to panic at Blues again?

Back to life, back to reality – Watford preview
It’s back to life, back to reality today as Blues travel to Vicarage Road to face Watford in the Championship. With being a couple of games behind, Blues have slipped to 21st in the division and Blues need to target points against a Watford side who haven’t scored in the league since the opening day of the season.

Give Hughton a Chance
One thing that is clear from all the reports I’ve seen from people who went to see Blues play yesterday at Middlesbrough is that the team is knackered. They tried hard first half, did well first half but the after effects of playing in Europe kicked in in the second half, and the team just fell away. It’s understandable really, and shouldn’t be used as a slight against them or Chris Hughton. However, with one and a bit weeks left in the transfer window, it’s getting down to a time period when things need to happen.

Mixed Zones and Mixed Messages
Having a quick flick through Newsnow this morning shows an absolute dearth of stories regarding Blues and transfers – this is despite journos like James Nursey tweeting about how definite it was that Dann, Ridgewell and Carr will be off before the end of the transfer window. I’ve spoken about it before, but I thought […]

Derby County v Birmingham City preview
Well, the new season is upon us. Today sees a Blues team that barely resembles the one that got relegated ten weeks ago travel the short distance to Pride Park to face the Rams of Derby. It’s the Championship.

Asset Stripping v Agent Motivated
It’s a new month for Blues, and the new season is almost upon us. We’ve had a turbulent few weeks, and BCFC need to ride out the storm just a while longer before the football can do the talking. Accusations levelled against the board of a “fire sale” coming into operation are looking fairer, and with more transfers probable I thought it was worth talking about that in some more detail.
