BIH Announcement: Endgame in sight?

Birmingham International Holdings made an announcement to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange this afternoon to confirm it had come to an agreement with Carson Yeung and had brought the company a step closer to having the suspension of trading of its shares on the HKSE lifted.

Carson and Ryan Yeung criticised as Judge rules against setting aside Receivers

Details have emerged from Hong Kong in the last couple of hours of the judgement ruling against Carson in his attempts to set aside Ernst and Young as receivers of Birmingham International Holdings.

Happy Birthday Ryan

It can’t be easy growing up in the public eye, and I guess that is exacerbated when there is a lot of hatred around for your old man. Throw in the fact that you’re in all probability the youngest director in English football, and it’s got to be said, I feel sorry for Ryan Yeung.

Looking forwards to the week ahead

After a hectic few weeks of European games, transfer intrigue and rumour, things promise to die down a bit this week. I suspect it’s going to be a bit busy in the next forty eight hours as Blues finally (hopefully) sort out the sales of Scott Dann, Cameron Jerome and Nikola Zigic; and even more hopefully bring in a couple of bodies to help rebuild the squad.

Six Thousand Miles From Home

With the appointments to the board of Ryan Yeung and Peter Pannu, the board of Birmingham City now comprises of people exclusively picked by Carson Yeung to run the club. Right now, it also means the club would be better off holding board meetings in Hong Kong, because nearly all of our board are based out there.

Yeung the Younger

Colin Tattum broke the news this morning that Michael Wiseman is to step down from the Birmingham City board, and that two new directors are to be appointed – Carson’s 18 year old son Ryan Yeung and acting chairman Peter Pannu. I thought it was worth looking at what this means for the club.
